Importing Sample Projects When Creating a New Workspace
You can automatically import the sample projects into a workspace when:
You launch DataConnect Studio IDE for the first time with the default workspace or specify a new workspace location
You select File > Switch Workpsaces and enter a new workspace location
In both these scenarios, after specifying the workspace, a prompt is displayed to automatically import the sample projects. It is recommended to import the samples using this method.
The import operation performs the following:
Copies all the sample projects and the macrodef.json file into the new workspace.
Sets the workspace to use the copied macrodef.json file.
Changes the single SAMPLES macro to point to the new workspace so that all the other macros work.
For samples that require a database, you must change all database macro values.
To import samples to a new workspace
1. Launch DataConnect Studio IDE.
2. At the prompt to select a workspace, click Browse and navigate to any existing folder. Click OK and enter a new workspace folder or change the folder name to which you navigated earlier so that it will be new, and click Next.
If you launch DataConnect Studio IDE for the first time, you can use the default workspace or specify a new workplace.
A prompt appears to load the DataConnect sample projects.
3. Click Yes.
DataConnect Studio IDE opens and the Welcome page is displayed.
4. Close the Welcome page.
The Fundamentals sample projects are imported into DataConnect Studio IDE and is displayed in Project Explorer.
