Importing or Copying Samples Projects
To import or copy the dc-sample projects
1. Click on File > Import.
The Import window is displayed.
2. Expand General, click Existing Projects into Workspace, and click Next.
The Import Projects window is displayed.
3. Select the Select root directory option, click Browse, and specify the location as C:\ProgramData\Actian\DataConnect\dc-rcp-64-bit-{version}\dc-samples.
In Projects, all the dc-samples projects are displayed and selected.
4. Select Copy projects into workspace option (a copy of the dc-samples projects will be imported).
Note: It is recommended to select this option. If you do not select this option, the files remain in their original location and you will be editing/running the original installed versions and not the copy. You may want to click File > Switch Workspace and type C:\dcsamples_workspace before importing because the SAMPLES macro defaults to this location. The sample projects (if you choose copy) are copied to this location and you do not have to change this macro.
5. Click Finish.
The dc-samples projects are displayed in Project Explorer.
Also, you can view the samples_macrodef.json file, which must be used as your macro definition file location preference. To do this, go to Options > Manage Macros, click Browse and specify the Macro Definition File as samples_macrodef.json file.
