Using the Correct Macros When Working With Samples
To use the required macro while working with samples
1. Go to Options > Manage Macros.
The Preferences window for macros is displayed.
2. In Macro Definition File, click Browse, change the file type filter from *.xml to *.json, navigate to the installed dc_samples directory, select the samples_macrodef.json file, and then click OK.
A set of sample macro sets and macros is displayed.
3. Double-click on the SAMPLES macro value and change the value to the location of your workspace:
• C:\Users\{username}\Actian\DataConnect\workspace (default workspace location)
or
• C:\dcsamples_workspace (if you have specified this location while importing the sample project)
Note: Choose the workspace directory if you selected Copy projects into workspace option to import the projects. Otherwise, set the value to the dc-samples installation directory. Some other macros are set relative to this SAMPLES macro.
