DB2 UDB Gateway
The DB2 UDB gateway is accessed through the DB2 UDB ODBC driver. The DB2 UDB driver is responsible for mapping the ODBC SQL data types to the DB2 UDB data types. The gateway is responsible for mapping the ODBC SQL data types into the equivalent Ingres data types.
The mapping consists of two parts:
• Client data type mapping to DB2 UDB data type mapping
• DB2 UDB data type mapping to Client data type mapping
Note: At this time, the DB2 UDB gateway does not support NCHAR, NVARCHAR and LONG NVARCHAR data types.
