Database Event Name Restrictions
In OpenSQL, DBEvent names can be 32 bytes in length. With the Oracle DBMS_ALERT package, DBMS_ALERT names can be only 30 bytes in length. For DBEvent names, the Oracle gateway limit is 30 bytes.
