Installation Prerequisites
Before the gateways can be installed, the target DBMS system must be installed and functional, and the 'ingres' user must be able to access the database.
Windows:
Page space should be set to at least four times the real memory on the system.
UNIX:
Swap space should be set to at least four times the real memory on the system.
