For a fresh installation of OpenROAD, a standalone copy of the Ingres 10.0 client can be installed using a pre-defined Ingres instance ID. The value of this instance ID for OpenROAD 6.0 is XU and cannot be changed.

Alternatively, you can install an Ingres 9.x, Ingres 10.x, Enterprise Access 2.6 or an Enterprise Access 2.7 instance before running the OpenROAD 6.0 installation wizard. When you run the OpenROAD 6.0 installation wizard, you can select a previously installed Ingres or Enterprise Access instance as the installation target.
