Upgrade Methods
There are four options for upgrading your production systems:
• Uninstalling the previous version of OpenROAD and installing the new version
• Installing OpenROAD into the same Ingres instance as the older version of OpenROAD
• Installing OpenROAD into a new Ingres instance
• Installing a standalone instance of OpenROAD (with an embedded version of the Ingres 10 Client)
Note: When installing OpenROAD 6.0 into an existing version of Ingres, it must be Ingres 10.1.1 or later.
