Administration Tools
Graphical administration tools include:
Actian Director
Visual Tools suite on Windows
Actian Director
Actian Director is an easy to use graphical interface that lets you interact with Actian Vector installations. Using Director, you can:
Start and stop the installation
Manage databases, tables, servers, and their components
Administer security (users, groups, roles, and profiles)
Create, store, and execute queries
You can run the Director directly on the database server, or you can download and install the Actian Director on a remote desktop running Windows or Linux.
Director components include the Director (client program) and the Management Server. One client program can be used to remotely manage any Vector instance where the Management Server is installed.
Note:  Director does not contain the full set of tools found in the Visual Tools.
Visual Tools (Windows)
The Visual Tools, which run on Windows, are a suite of tools with a graphical user interface that lets you start, stop, manage, and monitor a remote Vector installation.
The Visual Tools are available in the DBA Tools package, which is a separate download.
Note:  The Visual Tools are available in Windows environments only. They are not Unicode enabled so they do not support display of Unicode characters.
The visual tools include:
Visual Manager (IVM)
Visual Performance Monitor
Visual DBA (VDBA)
Remote Command Server
