Causes of Connectivity Problems
Note:  Any server processes on the client side, such as iigcn or iigcc, are only needed if you are using vnodes. They are not required when using dynamic vnodes, which is typically the case when using the Actian Data Platform.
You can trace most network connectivity problems to one of the following causes:
The network or the network protocol is not properly installed
The Name Server (iigcn) or Communications Server (iigcc) process is not running
Vnode entries are incorrect
There are port connection problems
There are problems with the Ingres Net files
