Installing on WSL2 with Podman
If you are installing Actian Monitor on Windows WSL with Podman, you must install monitor in a location that is accessible to both WSL and the Podman machine. Most any location should work, such as:
/mnt/c/...
Note: Installing to the /tmp directory in WSL will not work and compose will fail with seemingly unrelated errors regarding files mounted to directories.
Other considerations for using Podman:
• Both the Podman WSL client and Podman Desktop are version 5 or above
• You will need either the Docker compose plug-in (preferred) or the podman-compose Python wrapper
• WSL must be version 2
