Logging Levels
By default, Actian X logs startup, shutdown, and error messages for all Actian X servers to the errlog.log file.
For the Ingres Net and Data Access servers, the type of messages logged can be controlled by adjusting the logging level with the error_level and log_level parameters. The following logging level values are available:
0
Logs no error messages (silent).
1
Logs startup and shutdown messages only.
4
(Default) Logs level 1 messages plus server startup status messages, fatal errors that cause the server process to stop, and connection-specific errors that cause a specific connection to be broken.
6
Logs lower level messages (1 and 4) plus connection setup and termination messages for all connections.
