Installing Actian X for Linux
Actian X for Linux is distributed in RPM format and non-RPM (ingbuild) format.
When using the RPM distribution, you can install Actian X using either the install command or RPM package manager command.
If your system does not have RPM, use the ingbuild installation program. Follow the instructions described in "Installing Actian X Using ingbuild" in the Installation Guide.
Note:  Installation of Actian X requires root access. If you are logged in as another user, you will need the root password.
