The location you choose for Actian Ingres system (executable and script) files will also contain the error log and configuration files. Choose a location that has adequate disk space (at least 2 GB free).

If you lose this location, Actian Ingres will fail. Replace the failed component, restore the file system from backup. Actian Ingres will recover on startup.

If you fill this file system, Actian Ingres will fail. Free some space or allocate additional space, and restart Actian Ingres if necessary.
