Installation Modes
You can use one of the following modes to install Actian X on Linux:
• Interactive mode—Installs Actian X through a forms-based utility that lets you make decisions throughout the process. Your actual installation and setup script output is saved to a file called install.log in the $II_SYSTEM/ingres files directory.
• Command line mode—Installs Actian X through a command (and any optional flags) that you enter at the operating system prompt. The installation procedure runs without interruption.
All modes use the ingbuild command, either directory or indirectly.
