Startup and Shutdown on Windows
Your Actian Ingres instance on Windows can be started and shut down in the following ways:
• Automatically
• Using Actian Service Manager
• Using the Services Window in Windows
• Using the ingstart and ingstop commands
• Using Visual Manager
• Using Director
Note: We recommend that you start Actian Ingres as a service. To do so, use Actian Service Manager, issue ingstart -service at the command prompt, or use Director.
