Analytics Engine environment variables that are defined at the Analytics Engine system (installation) level affect all users in an installation. These are typically defined when installing the product. Most Analytics Engine environment variables are set in the symbol table (symbol.tbl).

To manually register or to remove an environment variable from the symbol table, use the ingsetenv and ingunset utilities. Never edit the symbol.tbl file directly.
