Procedures
Use the following procedures to setup an RSS feed for various browser and email clients.
Tip... Additional RSS client and browser combinations are possible and instructions will be available via various external online help resources.
Mozilla Firefox
To set up an RSS feed from Mozilla Firefox
1. Ensure that you are running the appropriate email client.
2. Open http://cloud.pervasive.com/DataCloudAvailability.aspx.
3. Click on the RSS Feed link in the upper right corner of the page.
4. Select your email client from the drop-down list and then click Subscribe Now.
5. You are prompted to add the RSS feed to your designated email client. Click Yes.
6. The RSS feed is added to your email client.
Note: Additional configuration of the email client may be necessary to set limits on how often the data is refreshed. An example is provided in the section on Microsoft Outlook below.
Internet Explorer
To add an RSS feed for Internet Explorer
2. Click on the RSS Feed link in the upper right corner of the page.
3. Click Subscribe to This Feed.
4. Click Subscribe to add the RSS feed to Internet Explorer.
Manually Configuring an RSS feed in Microsoft Outlook
To manually configure an RSS feed in Outlook
1. Open Outlook.
2. Go to File >Info > Account Settings>Account Settings...
3. Select the RSS Feeds tab.
4. Click New...
5. Enter http://cloud.pervasive.com/DataCloudAvailability.aspx and then click Add.
Tip... Some Outlook configurations will require that you enter http:// and the feed after the address.
6. Depending on your Outlook settings, you may need to deselect the Update Limit check box to ensure that your feeds are refreshed as quickly as possible and click OK.
7. Click Close. The feed is added to the RSS Feeds folder.
