Adding Constants
You can add constants on the Sources tab or Mapping tab.
Note:  You cannot add constants for event or action parameter expression or for Process Designer expression.
To add a constant:
1. Do one of the following:
On the Sources tab, select Constants from the Select Source drop-down filter.
On the Mapping tab > Simple View > Source grid, select Constants from the drop-down filter.
On the Mapping tab > Advanced View, click Constants node in the Source tree view.
On the Map Navigator, click Constants node.
The Constants pane is displayed.
2. Click or right-click and select Add Constant.
The constant is added to the constants grid.
3. Click within the cell and specify the following information:
 
Column Name
Description
Name
Name of the constant.
Description
Description of the constant.
Type
Select any of the following data type:
Boolean
Byte
Bytes
Char
Date
Date/Time
Decimal
Double
Float
Int
Long
Short
String
Time
Value Expression
Type a value or click and specify an EZscript expression.
Note:  The value must be added within the double quotations. For example, “43”.

4. To add multiple constants, repeat step 2 and 3.
Note:  You cannot reorder constants.
5. To undo or redo an action:
a. To undo, on the Sources tab, right-click and select Undo Add New Constant or Undo Delete Constant based on the previous action.
b. To redo, on the Sources tab, right-click and select Redo Add New Constant or Redo Delete Constant based on the required action.
