Mapping Target from Source Data
If the source, target, and reject (optional) connections are already established, the Mapping tab is where you can map the source fields to target fields, and where the transformation results display after field mapping is done. Else, a message is displayed indicating that data is not available and you must establish the connections.
To connect to the source:
1. Click Connect source (on the left-side).
The Sources tab is displayed.
2. If you have specified the required settings on the Sources tab, click Connect to establish a connection to the source. Else, specify the fields and then click Connect.
To connect to the target:
1. Click Connect target (on the right-side).
The Targets tab is displayed.
2. If you have specified the required settings on the Targets tab, click Connect to establish a connection to the target. Else, specify the fields and then click Connect.
3. Click Connect to establish a connection to the target.
When the connections are established, you can map source to target fields if you want your source data moved to your target as is or you can map a target field by providing a mapping expression.
Note:  If you open a saved map, you can view the Sources and Targets tab details without connecting to the source and target again.
