Minimum System Requirements for Linux
Before installing DataConnect Studio IDE on Linux, your system must meet the minimum requirements provided in this section.
Operating System and Software Requirements
• Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.2 and later (64-bit U.S. English edition)
• GTK Version 3
Note: DataConnect embeds Open JDK 8u232.
Hardware Requirements
• 64-bit processor, x86-64, 2 GHz or faster
• At least 2 GB free hard drive space to install DataConnect
• 8 GB high-speed RAM
Runtime Engine Requirements
In addition to the minimum requirements for your operating system, each additional running Runtime Engine on the same machine requires the following:
• 2 GB high speed RAM
• 1–2 available processor cores
• A valid engine license
Note: These minimum requirements assumes that the DataConnect engine has full access to available resources and is executing in a dedicated physical or virtual server.
DataConnect Development Studio Requirement
The development environment is a 64-bit desktop application used to generate and test integration design artifacts interactively. It requires:
• 1 GB RAM for Eclipse
• Recent dual (quad is recommended) core processor
Note: Since the DataConnect Development Studio embeds the Runtime Engine, you do not have to install the Runtime Engine.
