Building Processes
A process consists of individual steps that are configured and linked in the order of execution to form a workflow. The process steps rely on components that perform a variety of tasks such as running transformations and executables or performing updates to an SQL database.
Before building a new process, consider your data integration objectives. You must have a general idea of the logical steps that are required to reach your goal including the applications, scripts, or transformations you need and the decisions that must be made during the integration. This helps you envision the final layout of the process.
Before building the process, you can set the process preferences (if you want to change the default settings). To do this, see Setting Process Preferences in Setting Preferences.
