Enabling Data Integrator v9 Compatibility Mode
To enable Data Integrator v9 compatibility mode:
1. Go to Options > Preferences.
The Preferences window is displayed.
2. In the left-pane, click DataConnect.
3. Select the Enable v9 compatibility mode option.
Set this preference when you want the new artifacts to be based on Data Integrator version 9 XML metadata. If this option is not selected, the new artifacts are created using the current JSON metadata. Regardless of this setting, you can load, edit, and save either artifact type.
For example, if this option is enabled and when you create a new map, the map is created with the file extensions as .map.xml and .tf.xml.
If this option is disabled, the map is created with the file extension as .map and .map.rtc.
