Managing Record Types in Advanced View
A record type reference is a reference to one of the unique record types that you add in the Record Type section.
Adding Record Type
To add a record type:
1. In the tree view, click All Record Types.
2. Click /download/attachments/24975466/Map_Mapping_AddField_Icon.png?version=1&modificationDate=1487964384147&api=v2.
A row is added to the grid is added with default values for a few columns.
You can also add a record type by right-clicking on the grid and selecting Add Record Type.
3. Click within the cell and specify the information provided in the following table. A few columns are read-only.
 
Column Name
Description
Name
Name of the record type
Base Type
Read-only column.
Description
Description of the record type.
Length
Length of the record type. Read-only column.
Schema Origin
Origin of the schema for the connector. Read-only column.
Deleting Record Type
To delete a record type:
1. In the tree view, click All Record Types.
2. Select the record type you want to delete and click /download/attachments/24975466/Map_Mapping_DeleteField_Icon.png?version=1&modificationDate=1487964384147&api=v2.
You can also delete a record by right-clicking on the record and selecting Delete Record Type.
A following message is displayed:
Deleting a record type deletes all the record instances that reference the selected record type. Do you want to continue?
3. Click Yes.
The record is deleted.
Duplicating Record Type
To duplicate a record type:
1. In the tree view, click All Record Types.
2. Select the record type you want to duplicate and click .
The duplicate of the selected record is added as another row to the grid. You can also duplicate a record by right-clicking on the record and selecting Duplicate Record Type.
3. Edit the required values. For information about the columns, see Adding Record Type.
