Specifying Macro Definition File
To specify a macro definition file:
1. Do any of the following:
Go to Options > Manage Macros.
Go to Options > Preferences. Expand DataConnect and click Macros.
The Preferences window is displayed.
2. In Macro Definition File, click Browse and specify the macro definition file.
Note:  Sometimes after selecting a .json file, the Preference Recorder window is displayed with the MACRO_DEFINED_FILE. This occurs only when you are using the DataConnect Studio IDE Site Plug-in. To disable the recorder preference, go to Options > Preferences > type recorder in the filter. Select Preference Recorder and clear the Record into option. Click Apply and Close.
In case the file does not exist, you can type the file name along with the path. The following message is displayed:
File does not exist. Do you want to create a file?
3. Click OK to create the file.
The file is created at the specified location and the GLOBAL macro set is available by default.
You can now start adding macro sets and macros to this file.
Note:  You can use the Save As option to save the file with another file name. If you load a DataConnect v9 file and add a macro set or encrypted macros, Apply is disabled and Save As is enabled. You can click Save As and save the file in .json format. You can save the file in XML format even after adding, modifying, or removing macros.
