PostgreSQL is an open source object-relational database management system (DBMS). It has been derived from the original POSTGRES database management system, a DBMS research prototype. PostgreSQL retains the powerful data model and rich data types of POSTGRES and replaces the PostQuel query language with an extended subset of SQL. After the download is complete, go back to the web site and click the Documentation link for instructions on configuring the driver.
