Specifying Source Connection for Data Profile
Source connection details can be specified on the Source tab. You can select any single record Actian DataConnect connector on the source side. External schema are not supported by the engine, however, you can select external schemas in the UI where applicable (for example ASCII Fixed) and UI will automatically apply the schema to the dataset and unlock it.

Caution! If you try to change the source schema or connection information of an existing profile, a warning message is displayed. If you click OK the existing connection information is overwritten, all output fields and existing rules are cleared, and this action cannot be undone. You can click Cancel to discard changes.
When Defining Sort Options, you can select or unselect the Retain Source Data Order in Targets checkbox. This option allows you to retain source data order in the four pre-configured targets or output files (PASS_TARGET, FAIL_TARGET, DRILLDOWN_TARGET, STATS_TARGET). Unless this option is selected, data written to the targets will be in random order. Default is selected.
