Editing Macros by Typing a Name
To update a macro by typing it’s name:
1. Click in a macro enabled text box.
2. Type $(<macro-name> where <macro-name> is a macro name that already exists.
The macro name is displayed for selection. Below it the Update Macro option is displayed.
3. Click Update Macro.
The Update Macro dialog appears with the Macro Set Name and Macro Name field pre-populated. You cannot change these fields.
4. In the Update Macro dialog, change one or more of the following macro details:
Macro Value: Specify a value. This is stored as a text string in the macro.
Encrypted: Select this to encrypt the macro. Macro values are displayed in plain text by default. When encryption is enabled, this macro value changes to a series of asterisks.
If you select the encrypted option then the Macro Value field will mask the entered value.
Description: Type a brief description for the macro.
Description field is disabled (not supported) for macros that belong to LOCAL macro set.
5. Click Update to save the updated details.
