Importing From Package in Integration Manager
This topic provides information on how to import one or more artifacts, packages, and configurations from Integration Manager into your current workspace. After importing you can debug and fix things and then redeploy the package to Integration Manager.
You can choose to import using an existing Integration Manager connection that is saved in the
Setting Integration Manager Preferences dialog, or define a new connection information from the Import Wizard.
To import artifacts and packages from an Integration Manager server:
1. Go to File > Import.
The Import dialog is displayed.
2. Expand DataConnect, click From Package in Integration Manager, and click Next.
The Package Import Wizard is displayed. The existing Integration Manager connections will be available for selection.
3. (Optional) Click Edit Connection to open the Manage IM Connections dialog. From here, you can:
– Add a new Integration Manager connection by clicking the (+) icon and specifying the connection details like Server Name, URL, Username, and Password.
– Edit an existing Integration Manager connection by selecting it and specifying the changed connection details like URL, Username, and Password.
– Delete an existing Integration Manager connection by selecting it and clicking the delete icon.
– Choose a default connection by clicking a connection and selecting the Is Default check box.
– Test a connection by selecting it and clicking Test Connection. A successful connection is established if you have specified the correct connection details.
4. Select the Connection from where to import and click Next.
The Select packages for import from Integration Manager dialog is displayed. The existing Integration Manager job configurations and their packages are displayed here.
Note: If you have multiple Integration Manager connections, and you want to import from a connection that is not the default connection, select a connection from the Connection drop-down list.
5. Select what you want to import. You can import one or more job configurations and one or more packages.
Tip... You can click Select All to select all the packages. Clicking Select None will clear the selection.
6. Click Next.
The Confirm selected packages for import dialog is displayed. Listed here are the job configurations and packages that you selected for import.
This page also contains a check box to import the job configuration macros into your workspace’s active macro definitions. This option will create a new macroset for each job configuration you choose to import.
7. Click Finish.
The Import Complete message is displayed. You can view the logs from here.
8. Click Close.
A new project is created in the Project Explorer for every job configuration that you imported. The Integration Manager configuration name is assigned as the project folder name. This project folder includes all the artifacts, .djar files, and the .jobconfig files.
Tip... You can double-click a .jobconfig file to edit it in the Integration Manager Editor.
