When the amount of data you need to send or receive is small, a transformation map may not be required. Use a Script step before or after the invoker call to perform any required transformation. If you are sending several fields or a batch of records, you must use a transformation map to process the data. Use an external schema reference (that is, XSD) to make sure that the data conforms to a valid schema. If an XSD is not available, create an instance document of the request or response to build your transformation map. The XML and JSON map connectors are most commonly used for these types of integrations.
