CXL Character Set
The ASCII character set is used to write CXL scripts. In general, any ASCII character string that can be typed, including non-printable characters, can be used within a CXL extraction script. Input files coded in the EBCDIC character set are automatically converted to ASCII for processing if the built-in variable EBCDIC is assigned a non-zero value. See the EBCDIC built-in variable in Built-in Variables.
