Inspecting Data and Auto Adding Rules from Rules Tab
When editing a profile, you can click (Inspect Data and Recommend Rules) on the Rules tab, to use internal algorithms which inspect the data and recommend rules based on knowledge of the source schema and various data pattern matching tests. This method is recommended if you are not sure about the data problems of your source data.
To auto inspect data and add identified rules:
1. On the Rules tab, click .
The Inspect Data and Recommend Rules dialog is displayed.
2. Click Start Inspection.
The system uses internal algorithms which inspect the data and recommend rules based on knowledge of the source schema and various data pattern matching tests. The auto generated rules are added under the Recommended Rules section.
3. Review the recommended rules and select the rules you want to add.
You can click Select All to select all the rules.
4. Click Finish to add the rules to the Rules tab and close the Inspect Data and Recommend Rules dialog.
Note:
- If you have already existing rules in the profile BEFORE you run Inspect Data and Recommended Rules, and if any of the rules to be added are duplicates of what already exists, those rules will be ignored.
