Running Processes
After validating the process, click
to run the process. Optionally, you can use the
Run dropdown to change the default setting for the
Clear messages after run Preference setting. For more information, see
Setting Logging Preferences.
Note: Processes with maps that contain deprecated connectors can be executed. You can migrate a deprecated connector within a map by opening the map (rather than a process it resides in). You are then prompted to migrate the deprecated connector if a newer compatible version of exists. For information about migrating to a different connector, see

To run a process:

Note: You can run only one process at a time.
is disabled until the run completes. Also, if two editors are open (such as map and process) and if a process is running, you cannot run a map until the process run is completed.
The Process Execution dialog displays the progress of the process execution.
2. (Optional) Click Details to view the execution details.
Note: If the file is small, then this dialog displays only for a few seconds. At any time, click
Run in background to run the process in the background or click
to stop the execution.
3. Review the Results tab and Logs tab:
• Results tab provides the status of each step as it executes. The following information is displayed:
– Time
– Step name
– Status
– Message
For disabled steps, the Results tab indicates the step as "Skipped".
• Logs tab: Displays the execution details after the process runs. It contains error codes to help you identify and understand the cause of errors. The following information is displayed:
– Time
– Severity
– Error Code
– Global
– Description
You can search the Results and the Log records using the Search text box. The searched text is highlighted. You can sort the log entries by clicking on the Date column header.
If the run is unsuccessful, then the Problems tab displays the list of errors, warnings, and other issues. When the process is closed, any errors or warnings that were displayed in the Problems tab are not cleared automatically. To delete them, select all the errors and warnings, right-click on them and click Delete.
