Step Builder Canvas Tab
The Step Builder Canvas tab is the main area where the process workflow is created. It is a blank grid along with the Start and Stop steps. These steps determine the beginning and ending points of a process. You can use the Palette to drag and drop steps on to the Canvas. For information to set up a process, see Building Processes.
When you right-click on the Canvas, the following options are available:
Undo/Redo: Undo or redo an operation on the Canvas.
Copy/Paste: Copy and paste single or multiple steps on the Canvas. For more information, see Copying and Pasting Steps.
Delete: Delete one or multiple steps on the Canvas. For more information, see Deleting Steps
Selection Tool: A normal cursor allows you to arrange icons on the canvas and perform other standard operations.
Link Tool: Create a link between step to establish a connection between steps. For more information, see Linking Steps.
Validate Step: Validate each step added on the Canvas. For more information, see Validating a Process Step.
Test Step: Test each step added on the Canvas. For more information, see Testing Steps
Enable/Disable Step: Enable or disable one or more steps. For more information, see Enabling and Disabling Steps.
Enable Debug: Debug a process based on the breakpoints set for the steps. For more information, see Debugging a Process.
Ignore Error: Ignore errors when running the process.
Properties: View step properties. For information about the properties displayed for each step type, see List of Process Steps.
Save As Process Template: Save the selected step(s) as a template that can be reused in another process or the same process. For more information, see Saving Step(s) as Template.
Insert Process Template: Insert a step/steps that was saved as a process template. For more information, see Inserting Step(s) From Template.
If the steps are not seen and is beyond the view area, then you can do any of the following:
On Step Navigator, click the required step to view the step on the Canvas. It also displays the step properties.
Pan the canvas to view these steps. To do this, press Space Bar. The cursor changes to a hand icon. Using the Space Bar and the left mouse button, drag the canvas to the left, right, up, or down to view the steps.
