DataFlow integrates with several database systems such as Actian Matrix and Actian Vector. These database systems provide their own user authentication capability or integrate with operating system user authentication systems. They also provide user authorization capabilities to allow a database administrator to control which users can access data within the database.

DataFlow integrates with these databases at the user level for data access control. DataFlow users must provide their database user name and password to enable DataFlow to access database systems on their behalf.
