Securing MapR
You can configure MapR in a secure mode for data protection and disaster recovery capabilities. For more information, see MapR Security Guide.
You can enable or disable the security of MapR on the cluster. For instruction to enable or disable, see MapR online help.
To access the MapR security feature from clients such as KNIME or RushScript, you must authenticate using the maprlogin utility and then run the client using the same logged-in session.
For example, you can run the following command:
maprlogin password -cluster <clusterName> -user <maprUserName> -duration <timeInSeconds>
