Before installing the DataFlow extensions, ensure that Eclipse is started.

The Eclipse executable is located in the eclipse_knime_2.x.x folder within the installation directory. The folder name varies based on the version of the installed SDK. To start the Eclipse IDE, run the executable available in the installation folder based on the target operating system.

After Eclipse starts, a prompt is displayed to enter the workspace directory to store the project files. By default, Eclipse selects a folder workspace within the installation directory. Change the default location to a folder other than the installation directory. This will avoid deletion of the project files in case Eclipse is uninstalled.

After the workspace folder is created, Eclipse displays the Getting Started view. Close this view to work on the projects using the GUI.
