• Workflows can be executed only on the client machine. Data is staged between each node in a workflow. The workflows are optimized such that the persisted data are reused. This may use large amount of disk space when workflows having large amounts of data are run.

• Workflows can be partially executed. This helps to iterate development when creating a workflow initially.

• The amount of parallelism is limited and takes longer to run workflows.
