Load Data into an Actian Vector Table
You load data into an Actian Vector (Vectorwise) 2.5 or earlier table using the Load Data into an Actian Vector Table dialog. Data to be loaded must be stored in a text (non-binary) file.
To load an Actian Vector table with data
1. In the Instance Explorer, open the Actian Vector database node, expand the Tables folder, right-click on the table and select Tasks, Load Data into Actian Vector on the context menu.
The Load Data into an Actian Vector Table dialog appears.
2. On the General page, specify basic options and one or more input data files.
3. On the Advanced Options page, specify advanced options.
4. On the Optional Target Columns page, specify whether you want to load data from all columns or specific columns.
5. On the Optional Date Column Formats page, specify any special formats for date/time columns.
6. Click OK to load the data.
Progress of the vwload operation is displayed on the Output Log page.
