Start and Stop Servers
Before you can start or stop servers, the Instance Explorer must be connected to the installation (see Connecting to an Ingres or Actian Vector Installation).
You can start or stop individual servers from the Instance Explorer.
To start a stopped server
1. Expand the Management folder for the installation containing the server you want to start. Open the Servers folder.
2. Right-click on the folder or node for the server you want to start and select Start Server on the context menu.
A pop-up dialog opens showing the progress of server start-up. When the server is started, its state indicator turns bright green (see State Indicators).
3. Click Close to close the pop-up.
