Using Rules
You can use Director to create rules. A rule executes a specified database procedure whenever a specified condition is true. For more information about using rules to enforce referential integrity and security, see the Ingres Database Administrator Guide.
You can create and delete rules, and view their properties.
For more information about rules, see Create a Rule.
Note:  Sequences, events, and rules cannot be created for Actian Vector tables. Star databases do not support rules.
