Connecting to an Already-Connected Installation
If you try to reconnect to an installation that is currently an active connection in the Instance Explorer, the new connection credentials will replace those of the current connection, but a new root installation node is not added to the Instance Explorer. All nodes for the installation in question are collapsed and a full refresh is performed.
Consequently, you cannot connect to the same installation multiple times in the Instance Explorer. This is the case where a user reconnects to an installation as a different user, for example, to access functionality that requires higher permissions.
You are not prompted when this occurs. The new context is implicit and can be determined visually by looking at the relevant installation node title.
