Modify a Connection for an Existing Server Connection Definition
You modify connection data for an existing Server Connection Definition using the Modify Connection dialog (see Connection Dialog).
To modify a connection
1. In the Instance Explorer, open the Server Connection Definitions folder, and open the Server Connection Definition you want to modify, and open the Connection Data folder.
2. Right-click on the Connection Data node you want to modify and select Modify on the context menu.
The Modify Connection dialog opens.
3. Specify a new remote node, if desired.
4. Select a different communications protocol, if desired.
5. Specify a different listen address port, if desired.
6. Choose whether the connection information should be kept private.
7. Click OK to save your changes.
