Upgrade Standard and Reset Extended Catalogs
Selecting the Upgrade Standard and Reset Extended Catalogs action upgrades both standard and extended catalogs. However, while the data in the standard catalogs is retained, the data in the extended catalogs is reset and discarded. The displayed system and user tables of bitmap and string objects are automatically selected after the scan, and only user tables may be cleared. If you want to reset gateway catalog and OpenROAD applications for Microsoft SQL Server, it is important that user tables used by OpenROAD for bitmap or string objects not be cleared. All selected tables are upgraded and their data discarded. Unselected user tables are not touched.
Selecting Upgrade Standard and Reset Extended Catalogs is equivalent to running the standard gateway catalog build utility with the -r flag directly from the command line, except that you have the option to reset bitmap and string object user tables if iigwcat is used.
