DBMS Setup Requirements
The target DBMS must be installed and configured before installing the gateway. To use the gateway, the user IDs, database properties, and permissions must be set up. Note: To avoid data inconsistencies and possible corruption of existing data, the DBMS character set must be compatible with the Ingres character set used in the Enterprise Access installation. For additional information, see Check Character Set Compatibility in the Administrator Guide.
