Enterprise Access Shortcuts
Enterprise Access shortcuts are created as part of the installation. If Online Documentation is installed, documentation shortcuts are also created.
The gateway shortcuts are briefly described in the following table:
Shortcut Name
Description
Gateway Alias Utility
Shortcut for the gateway alias entries creation utility, which lets you create gateway alias entries in CONFIG.DAT.
Gateway Catalog Utility
Shortcut for the Enterprise Access Gateway Catalog Utility, which is a GUI wrapper around the individual catalog build programs.
Oracle Gateway Configuration
Shortcut for the gwuseoraw utility, which lets you change the Oracle version used with Enterprise Access.
Ingres Network Utility
Shortcut for the Ingres Network Utility, which lets you view and define Ingres Net node definitions. You can use this utility with the gateways to manage connections to remote Ingres installations through Ingres Net.
Ingres Command Prompt
Shortcut for a command processor screen used to execute text-based (command-line) functions.
