Installation Prerequisites
This installation process makes the following assumptions:
• The operating system and DBMS user ID has been created, and has been granted the appropriate permissions to access the appropriate DBMS systems. See Installation for UNIX.
• The host DBMS systems have been installed and are accessible from the 'ingres' user ID. For more information, see Installation for UNIX.
• The swap space has been configured to four times real memory.
