Introduction
This Getting Started guide provides a functional overview of Enterprise Access and explores how Enterprise Access gateways provide seamless access to disparate database systems. This guide also provides instructions for installing the gateways and establishing connectivity to the host DBMS.
Specifically, this guide describes how to perform the following tasks:
• Set up installation prerequisites
• Install the gateways for Oracle, Microsoft SQL, and ODBC on the appropriate operating systems
• Verify that the Enterprise Access products have been successfully installed
• Manage network communication definitions that enable TCP/IP connectivity to the host DBMS
• Manage databases using Enterprise Access database administration facilities
