OpenROAD and Enterprise Access to ODBC
The generic ODBC gateway is supported with OpenROAD as a data store; it is not supported as an application source code repository. This means OpenROAD Workbench cannot be used to store application source code (either an Ingres DBMS or Enterprise Access to Oracle or MSSQL is required) but OpenROAD applications can access the ODBC gateway. Accessing the ODBC gateway from OpenROAD needs the environment variable II_DICTIONARY_OK set to true on all OpenROAD clients (both dev and runtime). See.New Environment Variable II_DICTIONARY_OK.
If BitmapsObjects and StringObjects are stored in the database, these tables will need to be created.
See the OpenROAD documentation for more details.
