Response File Creation Options
The response file format follows:
<parameter> = "<value>"
You can use the installer wizard to generate the response file or manually create the file using a text editor of your choice. A sample response file, sample.rsp, is provided in the root directory of the install image. To change the installation options, you can edit the response file manually. To generate a response file using the installer, run the following command from the root level of the install image:
setup /c
You will receive a message saying that the installer is running in Response File mode. Click OK, and the installer will run the usual wizard for you to choose the products, options, and settings for the installation.
At the final stage, the wizard presents a screen for you to choose a file name for the response file. Accept the default name or enter a different name and click Finish to create the response file. If you want to review the response file parameter settings in a text editor, click Yes when prompted. Otherwise, click No to exit the wizard.
Once created, a response file can be opened with any text editor, reviewed, and modified manually if changes are required. Be sure the value you set for a parameter entry is valid. See Response File Parameters for more information about parameter settings.
